Marvels 2020 - 2021
Pupils in the Marvels class are all continuing to work hard in the Spring term. It has been hard during this lockdown, but it has been nice to see some of you in school and some of you working from home. I have loved seeing how hard you are working in the class with me, you’re all making great progress. Likewise, it has been great to see lots of work being sent to me from the pupils working at home. Again, I can see progress is being made and have enjoyed our phone calls.
In English, we have been learning about Pompeii and how Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD79. We have travelled back in time to warn the citizens of Pompeii that it will erupt and have helped them with an escape route. It has also been fantastic to see the children learning from home link their work to Pompeii. In maths, we are covering a wide range of different objectives in relation to fractions. Our science lessons are based around the human body and we all had a great time making a blood smoothie (I know some of you tried this at home too). In humanities, we are learning about the Stone Age and have made some models of Stonehenge as well as making a timeline.
Keep up the hard work!
