Annual Stride Active School Games Mark Awards 2025
This evening, myself and Miss Haile were proud to take Jack and Jacob to the annual Stride Active School Games Mark Awards evening hosted at Whitecross School. This year I was asked to be part of the evening by presenting a short presentation on how the school games programme has impacted our school. I was immensely proud to demonstrate to pupils, parents, head teachers and school sport coordinators the incredible impact the school games has had on our pupils. The awards recognise a schools work to engage in the school games programme and promote the importance and wider whole school impact of sport and physical education and how it contributes to pupils physical and mental health and the variety of opportunities it presents. For the 4th year in succession we were awarded the gold standard, if we maintain this for a fifth year this academic year we will be elevated to Platinum, a status currently held by just 8 schools across Herefordshire. Jack and Jacob proudly accepted the award from Hereford's Mayor Cllr Dan Powell, the Junior Mayor Stefan Dragomir and the stride active mascot. We would like to thank Kieram, Emma and the whole team at Stride Active for the fantastic school sport programme they offer across the county and the significant opportunities it presents to our pupils.
