Primary Class Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational class teacher in our growing SEMH provision on a permanent basis.

As a Teacher at the Brookfield School, you will have the chance to teach in a creative and inspiring way, work within a team of committed teachers and to help us shape the vision of the school as we continue to move forwards to being an outstanding provision.

Do you want to work in a school where the well-being of the pupils is at the heart of everything you do?  Are you a creative thinker; resilient and want to make a difference every day to the students you work with?

We are looking for:

• A primary teacher who is able to meet a range of complex needs including behaviour that can challenge

• A positive role model

• A team player who is able to show a flexible approach

We want to interview candidates who can evidence that they have experience of closing the gaps in learning for pupils who are experiencing challenge, particularly in regulating their behaviours. As importantly, you’re someone who is resilient, innovative and has the type of enthusiasm that’s infectious, so that you bring about change in a positive way. You’re also sensitive, respectfully challenging, patient and kind: just the type of teacher our students, pupils and community can relate to.

Brookfield School is a specialist school for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, associated learning needs and challenging behaviours in Hereford.  We cater for 90 girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 16, and also have a primary intervention programme supporting children aged 5 – 11 to remain in mainstream settings or to assess children without an EHCP.

We are a rapidly improving school who came out of Special Measures and were recognised by Ofsted as having made strong progress in every area. Pupil, staff and families’ morale is good and we are very positive about the bright future of the school.

Visits are welcomed. Please contact Wendy Roberts on 01432 265153 to make an appointment.
