2M - Keystage 2 Class

SEMH Hub class 2, has a lovely group of year 3-6 pupils who are spending time In our 12 week intervention programme to help develop their social and emotional skills to help them to cope and succeed within their mainstream school settings. 

In our SEMH sessions We focus on talking about our feelings, friends, behaviour and ways to manage challenges inside and outside of school. 

In our curriculum lessons this half term:

 In maths we are developing our confidence with a focus on number skills. 

In English we are studying the Louis Sacher book Holes exploring characters, writing diary entries and developing our comprehension skills.

In humanities we are learning all about the United Kingdom including the 4 countries, capital cities, mountains, rivers and seas. 

Our science focus is animal life cycles. 

We have enrichment activities every Friday afternoon, where we practice managing our behaviour during trips offsite, we complete art activities focussed around Religious and seasonal festivals and celebrations and reward activities such as cooking and walks in our local environment.
