On Saturday a group of pupils from Year 9 to 6 attended Herford FC’s final home game of the season at Edgar Street where they entertained Bradford Park Avenue. Whilst the game ended in a 0-0 draw, what it lacked in goals it made up for in entertainment. In addition to complimentary tickets our pupils were treated to the opportunity to go on the pitch and take penalties at half time courtesy of our partnership with Hereford FC in the Community.
Our pupils were a credit to the school and had a fantastic experience. A huge thank you to Jonathan Nash the community engagement manager at the club and coach Millie Taylor, both of who come in to school every Thursday to work with some of our primary pupils.
Our staff panel both watching on the pitch and up in the stand voted the strike from Tommy S as the Penalty of the day. Well done Tommy!
