Manchester Sports Trip 17.12.2025
We had the pleasure of taking 14 of our Key Stage 4 pupils to Manchester this week for a Football trip that included a tour of Old Trafford Stadium, an educational session in the Manchester United Skills Lab and then the experience of a live game by attending the quarter final of the League Cup at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
The staff that attended were immensely proud of how the pupils managed every single element of what was a long day, but not only that to see the lovely way in which they socialised with each other and supported each other was incredible. It was lovely to see how many pupils were blown away by being involved in something they had never done before and how genuinely grateful they were to be having the opportunity. A huge thank you to parents for picking up late at night and to the staff that volunteered their own time to make sure the trip could go ahead, without them these opportunities simply wouldn’t happen.
A quote from one of our members of staff upon arrival home at gone 1am! “ That was such a lovely day, our pupils were a pleasure to spend the day with and it was amazing to see how much they appreciated the experience”
